We're delighted to be joined by Matt Sheehy, Opera Theater Oregon,
The Dimes, Sophe Lux and James Farethewell for a very eclectic and fun
night of free chamber music.  Classical Revolution PDX portion of the
concert include movements from Schubert's Cello quintet in C,  Dvorak's
American String quartet and Barber's Adagio.

CRPDX String Quartet is stoked to perform the Filippenko string
quartet No. 2 in a program with Gabriel Kahane and Rob Moose. Singer,
pianist, and composer Gabriel Kahane is at the forefront of a generation
of artists who are reinventing the landscape of music in the 21st century.
Armed with a “sonorous, mesmerizing baritone” (The New Yorker) and a
profound gift for composition, Kahane has found niches in the indie,
classical and theater worlds while effortlessly blurring the lines between
them. Gabriel Kahane will also be joined by indie-classical multi-
instrumentalist Rob Moose for an evening of indie chamber music not to

48 hour Film Project
The 48 Hour Film Project comes to Portland on the weekend
of August 6th. Filmmakers from all over the Portland area
will compete to see who can make the best short film in only
48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from
around the world.

Friends of Portland Chinatown is proud to present an outdoor
multicultural concert on Davis Festival Street featuring
performances by Yat Sing Music Club (live Cantonese
Opera), Portland Cello Project, Third Angle New Music
Ensemble, Classical revolutionPDX, Last regiment of
Syncopated Drummers, Matt Sheehy and en Taiko.

"Music Under the Autumn Sun" will take place around the
Mid-Autumn Moon Holiday, which is the second largest
holiday for the Chinese.  In the spirit of sharing food, music,
and mooncakes, this community event celebrates both the
Mid-Autumn Moon holiday and Yat Sing Music Club's 68th
anniversary.
